Challenging surgery on vocal cord done to bring back the voice of a patient

33-year-old lady came to SSB multispecialty hospital with change of voice for last 6 months and difficulty in breathing. On evaluation, patient was found to have a large polyp like mass on her left vocal cord covering the whole left vocal cord. A complex micro-laryngeal surgery was planned along with the anesthesia team. It was not only challenging case for the surgeon but also for the anesthesia team as well. Our highly experienced ENT surgeon, Dr. Prashant Bhardwaj did the micro-laryngeal surgery and removed the polyp without any damage to the vocal cord. The surgery was done perfectly by the expert team at SSB hospital following which the patient's voice improved and became almost like her normal voice as before with no difficulty breathing.
