Dr. Shyam Sunder Bansal is a renowned interventional cardiologist with experience of 30 years in the field of heart disease management. He is the Chairman & Managing Director of SSB Heart & Multispecialty Hospital, Faridabad.

He is the first qualified DM Cardiology of Haryana State. He started the first dedicated heart hospital in the state in 2002.

He is MD (medicine), DM & DNB (Cardiology) and has been conferred prestigious American fellowships, FACC & FSCAI for his outstanding contribution in the field of cardiology.

Dr. S.S. Bansal started his professional career as a first cardiologist of Haryana in 1994 in Escorts Hospital at Faridabad. In 2002, he started the first dedicated heart hospital in Sun flag Hospital where he introduced many heart procedures for the first time in the state. In the year 2020, he started SSB Heart & Multispecialty Hospital.

He and his team has treated more than 2 lac heart patients so far successfully which also includes foreign patients and has performed more than 50,000 heart procedures including complex angioplasties, pacemaker, rotablators, OCT, IVUS, Pressure wire, heart hole closure without surgery etc. His vision is to make “SSB a sought after destination for healthcare by patients from India & Abroad” & mission is to make healthcare services more affordable.

He is a pioneer in introducing several procedures for the first time in North India. His special area of interest is complex angioplasties of the left main coronary artery, chronic total occlusions and bifurcation blocks. He is a pioneer in the country to use crusade, corsair and retrograde techniques for very old hard and difficult blocks.

He has been honored by district administration on republic day & conferred Rashtriya Gaurav Award for his distinguished services to humanity. IMA honored him for highest number of angioplasties in 2011. He was also recipient of entrepreneurs of the year award.
